Growth hormone HGH - why it is so important for fat burning and vitality

The human growth hormone (HGH) plays a decisive role not only in childhood. While it primarily controls body growth in children, in adulthood it influences numerous processes that are relevant for health, metabolism and body composition - including fat burning, muscle building and cellular regeneration.

What does HGH do in the body?

The growth hormone somatropin (or somatotropin) is produced in the anterior lobe of the hypophysis, which is located at the base of the brain. It is mainly released at night, especially during the deep sleep phases.

The production of HGH is highest in children and adolescents, but decreases significantly with advancing age: On average, a healthy adult only has about half the growthhormonelevels of a teenager. Factors such as excess weight, high blood sugar levels, high blood fat levels and a lack of sleep can also inhibit secretion.

While HGH controls the growth in length and the development of muscles and organs in children, it takes on other tasks in adults:

  • Supporting the burning of fat
  • Regulation of the metabolism
  • Maintaining and building muscle mass
  • Building bone
  • Support of the immune defence
  • Regeneration or multiplication of the cells

HGH injections: Effect with risks

One option, which is also used medically in children with dwarfism, is to administer synthetic HGH by means of injections. This is particularly popular in the sports sector to build muscle while simultaneously reducing fat.

However, it is often underestimated that the artificial intake can have considerable side effects. In the event of certain health risks – such as suspected tumours – use must be discontinued immediately.

Side effects of growth hormone injections:

  • Liquid accumulation in the tissue
  • Joint pain
  • Headache
  • Hypertension
  • Vision problems
  • Underactive thyroid
  • Disorders in the blood sugar level
  • Muscle pain
  • Natural increase in the body's own HGH production - gentle and without side effects

The increase in the body’s own HGH production through amino acids is much gentler and completely free of side effects. Certain amino acids – especially in combination – can stimulate the production of HGH in a natural way.

Amino acids that support HGH production:

  • Arginine
  • Glutamine
  • Glycine
  • Lysine
  • Slim while you sleep - why good sleep is crucial

As the majority of HGH is released during the deep sleep phase, sleep quality plays a key role. If the deep sleep phase is extended – for example by taking melatonin – this can additionally promote the natural release.

    The result:

    • Optimal fat burning
    • Supports the maintenance and development of muscles
    • Promotes bone density
    • Supports our immune system
    • Improves the regeneration of cells

    – and all this while you sleep.
